Since opening its doors in 1981, the Harold L. Zellerbach Rehearsal Hall has been
home to the
San Francisco Opera,
San Francisco Ballet,
San Francisco Symphony and a wide variety of producing companies, providing space for
the development of some of the Bay Area's most dynamic performance. Its primary rehearsal hall
features an orchestra pit, fly space and stage area with dimensions equal to those of the
War Memorial Opera House. Its two more intimate halls are ideal for minor staging,
choral and orchestra sectional rehearsals. Zellerbach Rehearsal Hall is a flexible
and functional space with the capacity to accommodate everything from rehearsals
and auditions to professional film and photography.
