What items are permitted in the venues?
Empty multi-use water bottles
Bags, parcels, backpacks, or luggage smaller than 15" x 18"

What items are prohibited in the venues?
ALL OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Marijuana and drugs without a prescription
Laser pointers (will be confiscated and patron subject to ejection)
Audio or video recording devices, GoPros, professional cameras or cameras with removable lenses
Weapons or items construed as weapons
Bullhorns or noisemakers
Balloons
Signs
Animals (except service and support animals)
Bicycles, skateboards, inline skates, scotters and hoverboards (These can be left at the complimentary coat check in Davies Hall and the Opera House)
Remote control flying devices or UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles)
Bags, parcels, backpacks or luggage larger than 15" x 18" (These can be left at the complimentary coat check in Davies Hall and the Opera House)

Are the lobbies available for receptions?
Yes. Receptions may take place as stand-alone events or in conjunction with performances. Lobby receptions are subject to additional rent and labor costs. Please see Reception Spaces for more information.

Are there employment opportunities available?
As a department of the City and County of San Francisco, all positions are hired through the City's Human Resources department. Please see Employment for more information.

Are SFWMPAC venues available for rent?
Yes. Each of our unique venues is available for rent.

Do you operate a lost and found?
Yes. Our receptionist is available to answer questions about lost and found items at 415.621.6600 Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Does SFWMPAC present or produce events?
No. SFWMPAC is the department of the City and County of San Francisco responsible for managing the rental and maintenance of the Performing Arts Center facilities. Production and promotion of all events and performances is the responsibility of Licensees.

How do I pre-order intermission drinks?
Pre-order intermission drinks by calling 415.861.8150 in advance, or with any food and beverage server upon your arrival. Please visit our Dining Options page to learn more.

Is food and drink available in the venues?
At the War Memorial Opera House and Davies Symphony Hall, intermission bars serve a tempting array of cocktails, wine, beer snacks, gourmet sandwiches and salads. Avoid lines during intermission by pre-ordering over the phone at 415.861.8150 or with a food and beverage server upon your arrival. For performances with an intermission, Global Gourmet will operate pre-show and intermission food and beverage concession services in lobby areas. For more information, please visit our Dining Options page. At The Wilsey Center, there is no regular food and drink service. Individual events may choose to offer service.
